Wentworth Douglass Hospital Medical Office Building and Urgent Care Center - Lee, NH
Site Planning and New Building

Lassel Architects was hired to develop plans for a 30 acre site for mixed-use development, supporting the medical community. A site design for new buildings, parking, landscape design, and outdoor green space have been developed to provide an office campus for the future expansion of the property.

Phase 1 of the design work in Lee was to design a new medical office building set in close proximity to Route 125 for maximum street frontage and to provide an image for the future building expansions at the rear of the site.

Lassel Architects worked closely with the civil engineer and the town of Lee to develop the site which will have minimal impact on stormwater run-off, as pervious pavement has been installed in the parking areas to replenish the aquifer running below this area.  Rain water collection from the roof is the main source of water for the irrigation system, and drought-resistant plants will help to sustain the vegetation for this site.

The building orientation, mechanical systems and envelope are designed with sustainable principals in mind and while LEED certification was not pursued, many aspects have been implemented to create a green building and to have minimal impact on the surrounding environment.
