Lassel Architects was hired to develop plans for a 30 acre site for mixed-use development, supporting the medical community. A site design for new buildings, parking, landscape design, and outdoor green space have been developed to provide an office campus for the future expansion of the property.

  

Saco, ME

Lassel Architects was hired to design the Saco Transportation Center, which houses the train station for Amtrak/ Downeaster, a bus station, as well as the Chamber of Commerce and Tourist Information.

Lassel Architects was hired to design a vacation home for a family of five, which would periodically house the large extended family as well.

Kittery, ME

LA was hired to develop a site plan for a 5 acre site on Rte.1 in Kittery, ME. 

Five (5) three-story multi-use buildings, providing commercial space on the first floor and residential condominiums on the upper floors, will be built on the site.  A community center will be provided as well.  There is parking below a number of the buildings, which helps reduce the paved parking area and will allow more trees and green space.  The reduced amount of paved areas and the shade provided by the trees, help to reduce heat island effect, which reduces the amount of heat transferred to the surrounding buildings.  This reduction in heat, coupled with a highly insulated building and more efficient mechanical systems, help to reduce the overall energy consumption from each building.   

The campus style complex of mixed use commercial and residential uses reinforces the town of Kittery's ordinance to provide a higher density of mixed use buildings and promotes a walk-able community.
