Seacoast Geriatrics (SGI) built its first building in 2005. This 52 bed Alzheimer’s facility evolved from a two year collaboration between Lassel Architects and SGI.  The design process has involved the region’s premier experts in the care of elderly suffering under dementia and Alzheimer’s.
The design team has looked at the true nature of aging and how the onset of dementia impacts an individual in their daily life. Our goal was to make the resident’s stay as pleasant and sensitive to the human factor as possible within a medical model.
